What is the Wheel of the Year?

The Wheel of the Year is a seasonal map that follows the waxing and waning of light, growth, stillness, and renewal. It invites us to live in rhythm with the earth, noticing how nature’s changes echo the shifts within us.

Here’s a brief overview:

Seasonal Connection
The eight Sabbats mark the solstices, equinoxes, and the cross quarter points. They offer a way to slow down, notice the energy of each season, and align daily life with the natural world.

Inner Reflection
As the land moves through emergence, fullness, release, and rest, women can recognise similar movements in their menstrual cycle, life phases, and emotional tides. The Wheel becomes a guide for understanding inner ebb and flow.

Sacred Rhythm
These gatherings create regular pauses for intention, ritual, and meaning. Each point on the Wheel acts as a touchstone for checking in with where we are, what is shifting, and what is being called forward or released.

Feminine Wisdom
Working with the seasons nurtures intuition, receptivity, and cyclical awareness. It supports a softer, more embodied way of moving through the year instead of pushing through linear time.

Ritual and Community
Marking these moments with others weaves connection and shared support. Ceremony adds depth to personal insight and strengthens the sense of being held within something larger.

The Wheel is more than a calendar, it is a living framework for staying connected to nature, inner truth, and community while honouring the cyclical wisdom at the heart of feminine life.

What is Shamanic Womancraft?

Briony has been mentored by and studied with Jane Hardwicke Collings and The School of Shamanic Womancraft.

Shamanic Womancraft is the process of engaging with the transformational experiences of being a woman through the vision, tools and skills of the shamanic perspective – seeing the interconnectedness of everything, and offering a map to inform and guide the transformational journey.

As a Shamanic Craftswoman, Briony uses the compassionate practice of listening, helping you to navigate your inner journey of menstruation, pregnancy, birth, mothering, and beyond. This then enables you to more fully engage with your experience, to ‘own’ it and to understand each situation for what it is, and what it represents on your life journey.
