Whether your c-section birth was planned, unexpected, empowering, challenging, or a mix of many emotions, the healing journey doesn’t end once your scar has closed.
Healing after a c-section birth involves far more than the physical healing of the skin.
This experience can influence the body in many ways, including movement, sensation, posture, breath, core connection and the way we relate to this part of ourselves.
Many women are never shown how to continue supporting their healing beyond the initial recovery period, yet the body can continue to adapt, respond and carry the effects of this experience months, or even years later.
This gentle and holistic offering supports your comfort, mobility, recovery and reconnection after a c-section birth. Through scar care, bodywork, breath awareness, movement, womb-centred practices and personalised support, we create space for healing on both a physical and emotional level.
Once your scar has fully healed, usually around 8 weeks postpartum, and with clearance from your healthcare provider, scar healing work can begin. This support can be beneficial whether your birth was recent or many years ago.
My work is informed by extensive training and lived experience across embodied, ancestral and holistic approaches to healing and wellbeing, including pregnancy and postpartum care, bodywork, womb healing, nutrition, yoga, and Shamanic Womancraft.
I weave these practices together to offer a whole-woman approach to healing after c-section birth, recognising that recovery involves more than the scar itself.
Alongside scar massage and bodywork, sessions may include support with breath, posture, movement, nourishment and nervous system awareness, creating space to reconnect with your body and support your healing journey.
My approach is grounded in the understanding that the body holds the physical experience of birth, as well as the emotional and energetic layers that can shape how we feel afterwards. These sessions offer a space to gently reconnect, restore and nurture yourself as you continue healing.
This package may be supportive if you:
It is never too late to support scar healing. Women often notice improvements in comfort, mobility and body awareness even years after their birth.
Healing after a c-section birth involves far more than the scar itself.
Even once the incision has healed, some women continue to experience tightness, numbness, pulling sensations, changes in posture or core function, discomfort through the abdomen, hips or lower back, or a sense of disconnection from this area of the body.
This offering combines gentle scar care, bodywork, breath awareness, movement and personalised guidance to support healing and reconnection after caesarean birth.
By working with the scar and surrounding tissues, we can support mobility, circulation, body awareness and comfort. Many women also find that as they reconnect with this area of the body, there can be a deeper sense of integration around their birth experience.
Every woman’s journey is unique. These sessions provide a nurturing space to reconnect with your body with greater awareness, compassion and confidence.
Our intention is to support:
Each session is tailored to your individual needs and healing journey.
Healing after c-section birth is about more than the scar alone. Depending on your individual needs, your sessions may also include guidance and support around:
This integrated approach supports not only physical recovery, but also your relationship with your body and your experience of birth.
Healing and reconnection rarely happen in a single session.
For many women, the first session is simply about beginning to reconnect with an area of the body that may have felt unfamiliar, numb, tender, or overlooked for months or even years.
As comfort, awareness and trust begin to develop, we can gradually build on this foundation through ongoing scar care, bodywork, movement, breath awareness and personalised home practices.
For this reason, I recommend a three-session healing journey, allowing time for the body to respond, integrate and continue unfolding between sessions.
While many women notice shifts after their first appointment, the greatest benefits are often experienced through a series of sessions that support healing on multiple levels.
Our first session is an opportunity to explore your unique healing journey following c-section birth.
Together we may:
These follow-up sessions allow us to build upon the changes and awareness developed during your initial session.
Depending on your needs, sessions may include:
As healing unfolds, each session is tailored to meet you where you are and support the next stage of your recovery and reconnection.
